Cultural Fair Contract
2018-2019
This is the official beginning of the 2019 Sixth Grade Cultural Fair. This is a sixth grade project that everyone is required to complete. We will begin the project the day we return from Winter Break; most of it will be completed in class. The various assignments for this project will make up the second half of the Second Trimester grade. The final project is due at the end of class Friday, February 8th, 2019.
Each student is expected to-
1. Complete a research packet about their country.
2. Complete a 3-way board (provided by me for $5.00 due Friday, Dec. 7th) showcasing information and pictures from their country. (Late boards will be lowered 10 points every day they are late.)
3. Using the information on the 3-way board, create a 10 question Scavenger Hunt for students in fifth, seventh, and eighth grades to complete while attending the in-school Cultural Fair.
4. Attend Cultural Fair Night on Thursday, February 21st, 2019, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM in the Arbor Park
Gymnasium with at least one parent/guardian.
5. Make/purchase one food dish from your country to share on Cultural Fair Night.
6. Give an oral presentation in class based on the completed project.
7. Write a research paper on their country in Language Arts.
